Do you “Play” The Sims 2 or The Sims 3?


There is a decent reason I have only posted once in October 2013 for this blog: I have another blog with two October 2013 posts on it (so far). It’s called Addicted to The Sims or Sims 2 & 3 for short. There, I am telling fellow “Simmers” how-to build a Sim house (or lot) from a “real life” house plan.

Explaining how to do something isn’t easy, but I think it’s worth the time and effort. These posts use my love for words, my Architectural Drafting abilities and the main reason I “play” The Sims 2 or 3 — to “build” lots. Oh, I sometimes create a Sim or a Sim family and play with them for a while, but I only have one “family” that I’ve stuck with for any length of time.

Please check out Addicted to The Sims and see lots of pictures. It tells you part of what I do with my spare time and/or as procrastination. Most of the time, I don’t see it as procrastination because it uses one or more of my abilities. Sometimes I use what I “learn” from “playing” The Sims 3 (mostly) and The Sims 2 in my stories and my posts are Writing, aren’t they?

Email Addresses


A lot of you have asked for my email address. I hoped there was a widget to put it on the side, but I didn’t find one.

Below are my three main email addresses, but please only use one of them. (I actually have more. No, I don’t know why.) Replies will come from the “t.j.pinkston.2007@gmail.com” address because it’s the main account on Microsoft Outlook.

How to leave a comment


I have received a few complaints about not being able to leave a comment on a post. On the other hand, there are more comments left which are singled out as Spam by Askimet. I’d like to address both problems.

First, I will deal with leaving a comment. If you can’t leave your feedback on a blog’s main page (mine or anyone else’s), please click on a particular post. Each post has its own distinct link and you can always write a comment at the bottom. In order for your feedback to be accepted (at least on most blogs), you must supply a link to your website. A person who isn’t a member of WordPress.com must also give an email address on a WordPress blog.

As I said, there are several people who have left comments but will never see them. Why? You followed the rules above, didn’t you? Your comment(s) are in the “Spam” folder because Askimet doesn’t allow links in your feedback and it doesn’t like websites that advertise a product or service. That’s a smart “Spam Filter” if you ask me.

Once in a great while, I will “Un-spam” a comment. However, the feedback must look legitimate to me before I will do so. Therefore, you shouldn’t expect me to “Un-spam” a comment which asks how to host a blog, how to “code”, or how to use SEO when your website says you work for a company that advertises one or more of those services.

What can you do if you want you truly want to leave a reply, but you are part of a company selling products or services? You can fill out the Comment Form below. Be sure to explain why I should make an exception to your otherwise “Spam” feedback that does not involve selling anything to me or to my followers!

Cleaning Up My Cobweb


Hello to anyone who might “follow” this page. I flipped through a book about building web pages and blogs and it says that a page that hasn’t been updated in a long time is called a “Cobweb.”

I realize that this blog may qualify as a Cobweb page and intend to change that. However, I will not concentrate on the “Help” area any longer because there are plenty of books, articles and web pages for that already. Instead, expect many more links to click on.

“So, what are you going to write?” you may wonder. You may anticipate the following:

  • My journal entries — either in type or as a picture (of my longhand)
  • Writing/journaling prompts when I think of them or run across one I hope you like
  • Suggested books, blogs, articles, etc. with short reviews when needed


I hope this doesn’t turn you off too much. Feel free to comment on this and on everything I add in the future.
